Description: This is a conceptual promotional graphic design that combines illustration, typography, and visual branding elements.

What the design is trying to express: The creator didn’t put any description, but after some research, I found that the title of 鯉のぼり(Koinobori) refers to carp streamers, which is usually tied to Japan’s Children’s Day (May 5th). The koi-shaped streamers symbolize hope, strength, and growth for children. By this, I believe that this design blends both tradition and commercial elements, possibly serving as a promotional graphic for a 20% discount in a Japanese restaurant or fish market during the celebration of Children’s Day.

What’s interesting:

  • Color Method - Contrast, vibrancy, and color balance.

  • Composition - Centered & balanced placement of the fish elements creates harmonious layout

  • Typography - The upside down “20% off” text serves as a playful and eye-catching focal point.

  • Design Style - Modern, playful, and artistic.

Design #2:

Description: This is an expressive, conceptual, and storytelling graphic design, using a figurative illustration with a dramatic tone, limited color palette, and expressive typography.

What the design is trying to express: The creator didn’t put any description in the post. But after some observation, I realized there’s hidden messages behind his text and design. In this design, he expresses his struggle with focus and constant distractions. The limited color palette might symbolize how his thoughts feel restricted and overwhelming, and the hands might symbolize his thought that’s against him whenever he needs to focus. The choice of the DirtyLine font really suits his idea. Its irregularities, with some letters in uppercase and others in lowercase, reflect a sense of his mental chaos. The uneven typography and the typo in “thougt” (thought), feels raw, it's like showing that even while creating this design, he was unable to fully concentrate.

What’s interesting:

  • Strong Concept - The design effectively communicates the message.

  • Unique Typography Style - The font brings up a unique character with irregularities and imperfection.

  • Color Palette - The limited color choices not only bring up a sense of restriction but also are visually appealing.

  • Composition - Composition feels balanced, with the largest illustration placed on the left creating a strong focal point. The viewer’s eye then guided naturally to the title and other little typography around the visual, creating a smooth flow to the viewer's eyes.

  • Design Style - Conceptual, modern, clean.

  • Texture - The subtle texture adds depth and a moody vibes.

Description: This is a promotional floral graphic design that blends illustration and typography

What the design is trying to express: The creator didn’t put any clear description, but from what I see I think this design highlights the elegance of the magnolia flower. It looks like a promotional series, encouraging viewers to appreciate & admire this flower.

 What’s interesting:

  • Color: Use of contrast combined with the soft color palette creating an appealing visual.

  • Typography: Clean and minimalist.

  • Composition : Asymmetrical layout, making the flower as the focal point and balancing it with simple typography.

  • Design Style : Clean, simple, and clear

  • Texture - The subtle dot makes the design feel less flat and less boring
